The Illegal Use of PGBI SEC Registry and Logo

The Illegal Use of PGBI's SEC Registry Number and Logo

Written by Engr Melliardine “GS MEL” G. Gamet, PEE
The Philippine GUARDIANS Brotherhood, Inc. (PGBI) has been a victim of illegal and continuous usage of its SEC Registry Number A200008885 and logo by some unauthorized groups. This unauthorized group has been claimed to be the owner of PGBI, causing confusion and damage to the reputation of the genuine organization.
Efforts to Resolve the Issue
To address this issue and legitimize the organization, Engr Melliardine “GS MEL” G. Gamet’s administration and the National Executive Council of PGBI came together to resolve the matter. As part of this effort, it was decided to change the old PGBI logo to a new one, which would reflect the organization's evolution and growth.
The Rebranding Effort
The new logo was designed to represent the organization's values and principles and was filed and registered with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) with Registry No. 04/20/23/00514542 on April 23, 2023. The new logo was then reflected in the New PGBI Constitution and By-Laws, which were unanimously ratified by the General membership who were present during the 19th National Convention in Odiongan, Romblon on September 21, 2023.
The Acceptance of Amended Constitution and By-Laws
After the ratification of the amended Constitution and By-Laws, the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) accepted the changes and issued a Membership Book (Red Book) to seal the legitimacy and legality of the organization. This marked a significant milestone for PGBI, as it officially recognized the organization's new logo and constitution.
Consequences of Illegal Usage
The illegal usage of PGBI's SEC registry number and logo by an unauthorized group has caused harm to the reputation of the genuine organization. This has led to confusion among members, stakeholders, and the general public. The illegal usage has also undermined the legitimacy and credibility of PGBI.
The Legal Standing of the Other Claimants
The GSM administration holds all the legal documents required by law, including the updated General Information Sheet, Audited Financial Statements (AFS), Certificate of Amended Constitution and By-Laws, the Membership Book, and the IPOPHL Registry of the new PGBI logo, the other claimants' claims are significantly weakened.
The Effect on the Other Claimants' Status
The other claimants, who have been using PGBI's SEC registry number and logo without authorization, are now left with no legal basis to continue their claims. The legitimacy and credibility of their claims are no longer valid, and they are no longer recognized as legitimate representatives of PGBI.
The Consequences for the Other Claimants
The consequences for the other claimants are severe. They may face legal action for unauthorized use of PGBI's SEC registry number and logo, as well as for misrepresentation and fraud. They may also face disciplinary action from the relevant authorities, such as the SEC and IPOPHL.
The Futility of Others' Attempts to Use PGBI's SEC Registry
Despite the efforts of the GSM administration to legitimize PGBI, other groups continue to cling to the organization's SEC registry number as a means to survive and maintain its legitimacy. However, this futile attempt will ultimately prove to be a short-lived endeavor, akin to a candle struggling to stay lit in the dark.
The Inevitability of Their Demise
Like a candle that is soon extinguished by the darkness, these groups will eventually fade away, unable to sustain their legitimacy without the authentic backing of PGBI's SEC registry number. The lack of genuine support and recognition will slowly suffocate their efforts, leaving them a mere shadow of their former selves.
The GSM Administration's Success
In contrast, the GSM administration's efforts to legitimize PGBI have been a resounding success. The organization's rightful claim to its SEC registry number has been reaffirmed, and its legitimacy has been solidified. The administration's perseverance and dedication have ensured that PGBI's intellectual property and resources are protected, and its reputation remains intact.
The Future of PGBI
With the GSM administration holding all the legal documents required by law, PGBI can now move forward with confidence and stability. The organization can focus on its core mission and activities, without being distracted by legal challenges or disputes.
The Protection of PGBI's Members
The protection of PGBI's members is also a significant consideration. The GSM administration's efforts to legitimize PGBI have ensured that members' rights and interests are protected. Members can now be confident that their organization is legally recognized and that their interests are being protected.
My Comment
The GSM administration's efforts to legitimize PGBI have resulted in a significant victory for the organization. The other claimants' claims are no longer valid, and PGBI can now move forward with confidence and stability. The protection of PGBI's members is also a significant consideration, and the organization can now focus on its core mission and activities.
The efforts of the GSM administration and the National Executive Council to resolve the issue of illegal usage of PGBI's SEC registry number and logo have resulted in a significant milestone for the organization. The rebranding effort has helped to legitimize PGBI and has paved the way for a brighter future for the organization. Public awareness is also crucial in addressing this issue and promoting trust in the organization.
In conclusion, while other groups may initially attempt to usurp PGBI's SEC registry number, their efforts will ultimately prove futile. The GSM administration's success in legitimizing PGBI has ensured that the organization remains a beacon of authenticity and integrity, while those who seek to imitate it will eventually fade away into obscurity. - GSM

PGBI 2020: It’s a Brief Story

Written by Atty Pedro Leslie “FRMG PLS” B Salva, PGBI Legal Counsel and Incorporator Like any organization, the Philippine GUARDIANS Brotherhood, Incorporated (PGBI) has its own story to tell. The PGBI as an organization did not just appear out of the blue. It has undergone its own process and in the passing of time, it became as it is now, the Philippine GUARDIANS Brotherhood, Incorporated (PGBI) with members coming from various sectors of the society from the once exclusive circles of men in uniform. The PGBI traces back its history when in the late 70’s a small group of non-commissioned officers led by then Constable First Class Leborio “FGF Abraham” Jangao, Jr formed a small circle of military men and called themselves the DIABLO SQUAD. It remained to be within the Mindanao area and there was no significant growth of the organization as it limited its circle to military men. However, due to the noble purpose for which the organization was created, slowly the organization grew despi
